ABOUT BRANDON HOLT
Brandon Holt is the founder of the Connect Church of Christ in Baytown, TX. In 2003, he received his Bachelor's in Religion from Southwestern College in Terrell, TX. Brandon is the Great-Great Grandson of G.P. Bowser, founder of Southwestern Christian College, and Grandson of late evangelist G.P. Holt.
In 2005, Holt was in a car accident that required back surgery, resulting in a four-year addiction to opioid “painkillers". Today Holt has been sober for 12 years. In 2018, the internationally acclaimed author penned his first book: Preaching Under the influence: A Minister 's Struggle. Beyond the pulpit, Holt serves .as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Certified Anger Resolution Therapist.
Holt is changing the way the world views drug use through his Anger Zone and Breaking the Chains of Chemical Dependency conferences. He has been featured on TV shows such as
CBS' The Doctors, CBN's 700 Club interactive, Great Day Houston, The Gospel Radio Spotlight, magazine covers from Rolling Out, Recovery Today, His Favor, and a host of many more.
Holt recently penned a second book entitled "Trapped", set to release January 2020. In Trapped, Brandon Holt seeks to address the inner conflicts that can ultimately lead to being trapped, such as unhealthy relationships, anger, code-switching, miscommunication, and more.
Brandon brings together both personal and professional experience in this book. He is the father of 4 children (Brandon Jr., Caleb, Mason, and daughter Harper).
