Brandon Holt is a nationally acclaimed author, minister, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and motivational speaker from Arlington, Texas.  Coming of age in the church, Holt aspired to emulate his family's path to the pulpit.  Dubbed, "The People's Preacher," Holt answered his call to preach at the early age of 17.  Wanting to diversify his personal skills and further his education, Holt attended Williams Barber College, Southwestern Christian College, and the Institute of Chemical Dependency studies.  As a family man and tireless advocate for change, Holt serves as minister of the Connect Church of Baytown, Texas where he preaches weekly, empowering people to discover their truth in the inspired Word of God.  he is also doing critical work by changing lives as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Houston.  Passionate about helping those struggling with substance use disorders, Holt has penned, Preaching Under the Influence. A Minister's Struggle."  This book takes a compelling look at his personal journey, opioid use disorder, losses, life, lessons, and the grace of healing available to all.  The book also shares many poignant memories of his struggle for social acceptance and his fight for an identity that he could grasp as a bi-racial youth in racially-torn America.  As an influential leader in the community, Holt thrives on meeting people where they are and offers hope, insight, and solution to tackling emotions and the strongholds that get in the way of being who God created you to be.  Holt's story has been featured on CBS' "The Doctors," "Great Day Houston" with Deborah Duncan and "The Gospel Spotlight" with Steven Parker to name a few.  He lives by his favorite personal mantra, "live to win" and hopes to land his own talk show to continue inspiring others.
